THE SITUATION
Bupa Aged Care facility in Baulkham Hills was interested in replacing their existing Metal Halide carpark lighting with energy efficient LEDs to help reduce their operating costs.
THE SOLUTION
Laser Plumbing and Electrical Artarmon, working with littil LED lights, designed a layout using 15 FIN 90W LED Area Lights, with a Type 2 distribution. The new FIN LED lights will not only illuminate the carparks and entry points but will also provide ideal cut-off optics to minimise disruption and light spill to adjoining homes. Using the optional 76mm pole fitters ensured the existing pole structures were retained to minimise project cost. By using the littil FIN LED Area Lights, Bupa saved an additional 20W fitting over the initially proposed LED floodlights.
The LED lighting upgrade has led to an 80% reduction in energy consumption for the carpark and entry points.
